One of the last two cadets to join B&C in the early  1980’s at South Shields College.

I joined Stirling Universal followed by Scottish Eagle in 1983/84, before moving to the foreign flag ships at the end of my cadetship.

I had the (mostly) pleasure to sail on everyone of the ‘Al’ ships, Meltem, Mistral, Bora, Pluto & Uranus up until the transition into London ship managers.

Following these B&C days I then sailed with Irgens Larsen, Lauritzen, Frigomaris and ending my seagoing days as Chief Engineer with Great White Fleet/Chiquita in 1998.

Coming ashore as Technical Superintendent also with Great White Fleet I have been engaged in various roles within ship management ever since.

Presently located in Rotterdam as a Fleet Manager for a German based company that owns and operates a number of feeder sized container vessels.
