She was sunk on 1 July 1917 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-80 at position 60° 33' N, 02° 08' W - approximately 10 nautical miles North-West by West of the Esha Ness lighthouse.
She was en route from Barry to Yukanski Archangel with a cargo of coal.
