1977–2004: Worked with Texaco Marine Sales, specializing in the sale of marine lubricants, fuels, and the provision of technical services to ship owners and customers.

2004–2011: Continued in the marine sector with Shell Marine Sales, delivering lubricants, technical services, and support to ship owners and maritime clients.

2011: Retired from the marine industry.

Earlier in my career, I joined the Royal Naval Reserve (RNR) after earning my 2nd Class Motor Certificate to gain hands-on experience with exotic machinery. I served on "Ton"-class minesweepers powered by Deltic engines and remained with the RNR until 1992.

I had a wonderful time with British & Commonwealth (B&C) and would gladly do it all again.
