From Chris Isaac

I had the good fortune to sail twice under his command.

In 1966 I was Jnr 4th Officer on Capetown Castle on the trip that she went aground in Flushing.

In 1969/70 he was in command of Rotherwick Castle on my first trip as 2nd Officer.

I always found a him to be a very gentle and likeable Master. He was not one to interfere, rather, he trusted his officers to do their jobs.
