Career Summary

In January 1978 it was announced that B&C had taken over responsibility for the floating supply base vessel FSB-01 from Pakhoed Holding N. V. previously B & C held a 45 per cent interest in the vessel.

FSB-01 is a 31,000 dwt bulk carrier, specially designed for the storage at sea of several thousand tons of steel pipes used in the laying of underwater pipelines to bring oil ashore.

Originally previously chartered to Shell in the North Sea, the vessel was then temporarily laid-up at Southampton awaiting new employment.
