Message from Mike Morley - 1 October 2025

Sorry to advise that Chris "Went Aloft" last Sunday.

I believe that Chris's last rank was Chief Officer cargo vessels - I had sailed with him on several voyages when he was 2nd on "Edinburgh Castle".

Chris was subsequently a farmer in Witney and for some time 'farmed' cats for the government during which period their property was heavily targeted by Animal Rights and he had heavy police protection during the 90's. Despite suffering press criticism when he gave up the cats in 1999, he received considerable praise in the same press for the condition of all the cats which were able to be redistributed as pets.

Chris and his wife Catharine had been living in care for the past 5 years.  They were both regular Reunion supporters and joined most of our cruise ventures including the Centenary Cruise.
