Cadet on HMS Conway from Sep 1920 to Aug 1922

Born 1905 in Scarborough, he won a scholarship in 1920 to become a cadet onm HMS Conway for two years. He later served with Clan Line and then went on to command in the Merchant Navy.

After WWII he joined Trinity House as Superintendent of Pilots at Harwich
