Barrie phoned me yesterday with the sad news that Elizabeth died in hospital early yesterday morning. The news was totally unexpected and many will know, Liz has always been the most active of ladies, whether in her garden, in the swimming pool or on the tennis court where she played regularly throughout the year. I understand that she complained of stomach pain on Thursday morning and was admitted to hospital later that evening where she died in the early hours.

As Purserette and Passenger Hostess in the mid sixties, Liz served on "Pendennis Castle" , "Edinburgh Castle" and "Reina del Mar"

Liz and Barrie have been fantastic supporters of all our Association activities, helping organise the reunions and joining our parties in South Africa and on far flung cruises. She will be greatly missed by her community and her many friends.

We send our sympathy to Barrie, their two sons Robert and Andrew and their families and her two sisters.
