Gerry "went aloft" on Friday, 26th July, after a few days in hospital.

He joined Union-Castle in 1957 as J4th on the Athlone, leaving in 1964, having served on several of Mail run, Intermediate, cargo and "fruit boats".

I'm shattered, but am thankful he isn't suffering any more.   We had such a happy life together.

Funeral will be private, family only, no flowers.

PS  still hoping to make reunion in October.
