My late father, Alan Davies, served aboard the Clan Brodie as 4th Engineer during Apr 1956, aged 21 and again in Nov/Dec 1958 as 3rd Engineer.

He also served aboard the Clans Cameron, Shaw and Urquhart and SS Calumet, Calary, Prat.

He left the Merchant Navy in 1960, returning home to South Wales
