10.5.1917 attacked by a submarine in the Mediterranean Sea and escaped when the torpedo missed.

4.8.1918 torpedoed and sunk 14 miles N.N.W. of Pendeen Lighthouse by the German submarine U.113 whilst on a voyage from Plymouth to Glasgow in ballast.

Twenty two crew members were lost and the survivors were rescued by the Belgian tanker steamer KASBEK, 2,716/1888.
