Launched on 3rd June 1913 and completed during July by William Doxford & Sons, Sunderland for Hamburg-America Line as Sudmark.
She was captured as a prize of war by the Royal Navy on 17th August 1914 and requisitioned by the Shipping Controller.
She was put with Harris & Dixon Ltd. as managers during 1915 and renamed Huntscraft.
1917 - 20 Managed by Union-Castle
1918 Torpedoed in English Channel but repaired
1920 Purchased by Clan Line renamed Clan MacKay (4)
