My dad sailed on the St John and others in the late 50’s

He was I believe 2nd engineer, his name is Harry Wylie, from Newcastle upon Tyne.

Harry joined Saint Line in 1954.

Sailed 7 trips on St John, 1 coastal passage on St Merriel and 1 trip on St Thomas.

Left the company as 3rd Engineer to join B&C.

With B&C from 6/1958 to 2/1960 on King Alfred as 3rd Engineer
