Information  -   trained on H.M.S. "Conway".   

Senior cadet "Kenilworth Castle" October 1953 to 31 January 1954.   As with many of the "Conway" cadets he came from the Manchester area.   

I believe Mick failed his eyesight test prior to sitting his 2nd Mates exam then may have become an assistant Purser for a time before coming ashore.  

Possibly lived in the Durban area.
