Ian and I sailed together as cadets on the "Richmond Castle", a more likeable Geordie it is difficult to imagine.  

A great sense of humour he and I faced life's trials and tribulations as cadets with the same 'nil carberundum illigitimi' attitude.   

Sadly when we parted company from the "Richmond" we lost touch as we tended to do in the Company.   

The e-mail from William Harris 22/02/07 brought back many happy memories.  If anyone knows of Ian's whereabouts I would very much like to get into contact with him.
